Rituals create new habits to replace the ones that have kept you stuck

in an old reality.

Today we begin the third element of THE CIRCLE together. Those of you who have the blue workbook put your attention each day on the exercises for Ritual and Sacredness.

This is a week of noticing the habits that keep you stuck in an old reality and creating rituals or conscious, sacred habits to replace them. It takes the brain 2 weeks to begin to unlearn a habit and replace it with a new one. There is actually a structural change in the brain that occurs after 2 weeks of attention to an act that you want to become unconscious or “automatic”. So many of our habits do not take us where we want to go. In these 2 weeks we will change them together.

Remember to do the Circle meditation on page 24 of the blue Circle workbook or intentionally connect to the energy that we all share in which ever way works for you.

At the top of every hour hold our entire group, yourself included, between your hands and send healing to the new, sacred rituals that are now replacing the old ones.

Although a ritual can be simple, like walking to work by a new route to change an old routine, do at least one grand ritual to give special meaning to the commitment to positive change in your life.

Remember

TOGETHER WE ARE STRONG!

PLEASE RE-TWEET AND FACEBOOK, LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS FOR ME AND OTHERS TO SEE AND DON’T FORGET TO INCLUDE OUR YOUNG PEOPLE IN THIS PROCESS!

If your local library needs a copy of THE CIRCLE, send me the address and I will send a copy.

Love and gratitude,

Laura

Laura: Again I want to thank you for all of your guidance, and for working so closely with me from so far, as well as the whole circle community for making me strong and making it happen faster. If I didn’t know better I would say it’s a miracle, or some kind of magic, the way my reality has changed (and is still changing…it’s a work in progress) as a result of doing the circle work. I have healed the relationship with my ex-husband without ever having to talk about it in person (strictly through telepathy). I am living in a brand new beautiful, house in a great neighborhood for my daughters to grow up in (its eerily close to my descriptions in my previous reality tales)…no (mortgage-its paid for) and I did not have to pay a dime (there’s a story behind this, but its too long to tell here…its still hard to believe).
Still working on my debt, but after 14 years in the same job position/same company…I have a new job opportunity with a better salary which will help me get rid of that too.
To the rest of the circle community: Thank you so much, and let us keep working on all of our new realities together, because TOGETHER, we ARE definitively STRONGER!

Always adn ever thank you for the reminder
We can always be reminded of the foundation…the basics.

    over and over again

    like breathing air .
It pays to repeat the process even if you have breathed your whole life..It is still the foundation for life
So also with Rituals and …reminders to practice the rituals.

Sending out energy and support to the Circle group members to discard the old habits and create new useful habits.

And I send out energy, love, and send a prayer so that you may have the fulfillment, happiness, and healing that you desire.

I got a little zap of joy energy last week when I tried this, to find a house! I found the house! So I want to it again, to move to the house!
This week my reality is to have all details in moving work smoothly, from sorting out what to take, to sell, give away, etc. finding a piano mover, and so forth– to getting my deposit back from the current house I am leaving. All those things taken care of efficiently.
I am remembering to connect now, that lift was quite a zap of joy.
Lets be zap and be zapped with joy on the hour! Yay!

    Warning!!!

If you don’t want change in your life, if you don’t want to reach your dreams, then don’t do this Circle exercise! Just head on over to your couch with a bag of donuts and cry yourself to sleep because not wanting to change your habits means you really don’t want to change your life.

IF YOU DON’T CHANGE YOUR HABITS YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!

Example: How many people want to lose weight but then keep eating 5000 calories a day when they should get no more than 2000 calories a day? Answer: A lot of people.

We pretty much all face this problem to some extent, myself included. We want change, but we are resistant to changing our habits, leading us to an endless cycle of unhappiness and lack of fulfillment.

What you do creates your life. Your habits create your life! This sounds so simple, it seems like a cliché but this simple sounding statement is difficult because it means we have to change our habits, which takes a lot of effort.

So I encourage all of you to take time to care about yourselves. You are important. You deserve the life that you want! Laura cares about you, I care about you, and I know you care about you, so take the time to care about yourself and make these habit changes so that you can have the life that you want for yourself!

I guess that voice of conscience is for me! I had pizza and donuts today. My couch has my clean laundry on it so can’t hang out there until I put the laundry away. I definitely need to change bad habits.

    Hi Laura,

I just started working with the group and trying to catch up. Would you send me the articles to work with till I find the book. Unfortunately in Mexico City there are no more books left, so I can only imagine how the exercise works. Would you please be so kind? I´m trying to get rid of shyness so I would think confidence is the new pattern? Thank you and regards.

I breathe in deeply, I can feel my body relax as I smile,
As I breath out I see flood gates open; Heavy waters of living light overwhelm all obstacles and rush in from the four corners. Love, prosperity and healing flood all aspects of being within my ever expanding circle, (myself included), of healthy, happy, sexy, balanced, brilliant, effortless, fun, lighthearted friends.
I observe, as if from afar, others marveling at the ease and grace with which they manifest their every wish and the sheer saturation of joy in their lives.

This has been so very useful to actually notice what ineffective habits I have. True to form, mostly unconscious and mindless. Second guessing myself and selling my talents short have become so automatic, two weeks for my brain to unlearn this doesn’t seem like quite enough time! But I’m hopeful, in that at least now, I can catch myself, say a quick prayer about it, and let it go. Whew. One week down, one to go. Count me in. Love, Light and Blessings to all.

I agree, Lucia. Creating rituals to replace my old/automatic habits has been much more difficult to implement than I imagined. I started out this week with great intent…put my hands on my kids shoulders at breakfast to bless their day; add healing to dinners as I cooked; even set up a photo of them and a little heart candle next to my bed. But I didn’t follow through consistently! I guess it just takes practice/time to establish new habits.

I’ve been doing the Circle (using the same “wish”) for over a year now and am following along again here. Looking back, it’s been pretty amazing how things have happened since I started it but there have been many many obstacles and “lows” mixed in. (That’s one thing I loved from Laura’s last post: when you try to just thinking positive thoughts only you don’t look into those obstacles that are there for a reason.)

As I continue to use my Circle workbook (as I follow along here or when I refer to a specific chapter I’m in need of) I am continuously evolving and seeing “new” insights. My workbook has more highlights, stars, written stuff in it…I think almost every part has been underlined at some time or another!

So for me, I see it as almost a new lifestyle – be patient with yourself and know it’s the little things that you add / tweak that in the long run will be transforming – maybe in different ways than you originally thought was the best “way.”

One ritual I’ve been doing is to listen to Laura’s “morning quickie” each a.m. – and if I’m at home I’ll hold my lit candle that’s on my desk (always have a candle going when I’m working!) and do the MQ that way…

Good morning to all! Thank you for sharing – that´s so encouraging and touching! Laura, I hope you are well. Do you have an advice for this mental roadblock: I have so much more energy and fear to not be able to channel it in a good way. Fear to loose my attention for others, my compassion and awareness, when I allow this flood of energy to perform in my life. I see that friends of mine do succeed, evolving also in the most beautiful way – but the energy is just so strong!! Thank you, blessings for you and your beloved ones! Vicky

Micro-Judging what you are doing does not help you do it. There is no “good way”. There is your way and it will evolve to be more effective as you do The Circle!

    Hello all!

Changing habits this week has been both rewarding and frustrating. I have only changed ONE habit consistently over all seven days, and changing even this little bit has given me new energy and moved me towards my best self and my New Reality. However, I still feel frustrated that other habits remain engrained.

Whenever I’m discouraged (as now) I try to remember that with each exercise, each time I connect to the energy of the group or write a reality tale or practice positive rituals, I’m shedding the things that hold me back and bringing good things to my life. Everything I do helps a little. I’m getting there whether I realize it or not. When I feel I’m failing, the group is holding me up, covering my blind spots. I had a synchronistic moment last night, and although I didn’t deal with it very well (old habits and bad programs got in my way!) I still know it’s a sign that I’m on the right path.

Thank you to everyone for your healings, love and support. Without you all I know I would never have reached day 30 with so much success and joy! Let’s continue to be strong together! Sending my beautiful group love and healing.

    Ritual I’m trying–

Writing a page in a notebook every day about how my new reality is already in my life. Just pretending it is, and writing about it. When I’m just walking around, and thinking “embody my new reality” all I get is a blank. This technique helps me focus.

But here’s a question for Laura:

The biggest obstacle I’m facing (and I’m sure a lot of other people in the group are experiencing the same thing)–I have deep-seated feelings that what I want can never happen, no matter what I do. How can I chip away at this?

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Carla

Have the feelings and keep on going. They are not obstacles.
Also, a ritual should really be an action to replace an old habit. Planning would be better than pretending but ritual is so important to put something new into action in the moment. It sounds like a group might help you. Why don’t you try getting some people together and doing a reading and element of The Circle, supporting each other, each week, talking it through!

I too have stuggled with sticking to new rituals but I keep moving forward and when I catch myself falling back into old ritual I quickly change it. One day at a time and with the support of the group…we will all reach our goals and our wishes will become our New Realities..sending love and healing at the top of every hour as well as several more times during the day to all of us.. I really sleep well when I send healing and love before I fall asleep and my day is truly blessed when I join when I wake up every morning.. Love to all DJ xoxo
